Officials training.

The Canadian Snowboard Federation (CSF) Officials Training Program is meant to help all individuals who volunteer time and expertise to snowboarding events and competitions in Canada.
The purpose of the Officials Training Program is to provide snowboard officials with a greater understanding of the role they will assume during a competition and to introduce them to the rules of snowboard competition, the International Rules of Competition (IRC) of the Fédération International de Ski (FIS).
The CSF has a 3 Level Program to ensure officials will have the best opportunity to have all necessary knowledge & experience once obtaining their 3rd and final Level of certification.

Level I: First Year of Service as an Official:

Take Level 1 Officials Workshop
On Hill experience roles such as: Gate Judging, Asst. Starter etc.

Level II: The purpose of the CSF's level II certification courses are to ensure the certified person has gained the knowledge necessary through a variety of roles in real officiating environments.

Level III: The 3rd and final level of the CSF"s Officials Training Program is designed to promote and ensure continuing education for all top level Canadian Officials. To achieve Level III certification the Official must have completed all Jury Positions (except Head Judge) in each discipline. They must be a Canadian Event TD. Must show a strong working knowledge of the FIS Rule Book and support their decisions within the FIS Rule Book.

Canada Winter Games

The Canada Winter Games will will be taking place in Halifax in 2011 and Alberta will be represented! The CWG are one of Canada's premier events. To find out more about the games to CWG 2011
